PDNedu's Photo AssignmentThanks for everyone's participation in our previous Photo Assignments.
As you might know, each semester, we're giving you an assignment. We want you to go out and get your shot, and then come back here and post the results on the bulletin boards.
We're going to let the bulletin board community vote on their favorite shot, and then we'll publish the winning image in the following print issue of PDNedu.
Here is PDN's photo assignment for Spring 2005:
The diner. Twenty-four hours per day, seven days per week. An icon of American culture, diners have long been a meeting place for lonely travelers, college students, and those in search of a quick cup of coffee and a warm meal.
As part of this semester's assignment, we'd like you to photograph a diner in any manner you choose. The people. The place settings. A grizzled short-order cook or an exterior landscape. The style, lighting and subject matter are all up to you. We'd love to see your creative interpretation of a traditional cornerstone of every big city and small town.
Members of the community from locations outside the U.S. are welcome to participate: simply substitute a restaurant that serves as a gathering place in your community.
Please post your images in PDNedu's Photo Critique using the subject line "PDNedu's Spring Photo Assignment." Please start a new thread with each image.
At the close of the contest, the winning entrant can forward his or her name, school, and other contact information to the forums moderator via e-mail.
Please post your images by midnight, June 15th.
Thanks and Regards,
The Editors
