Anyone have any alternatives to Livebooks? Been looking around and having a hard time finding something that is as easy to change images.

Thanks

Hi,

I recently chose clickbooq over livebooks. They were about the same price, but I felt that the Clickbooq features were better than Livebooks. Clickbooq offered more portfolios, more custom content pages, more e-mail storage space... Plus, you can change the images yourself plus your design anytime and have real-time preview. There's ftp access too so clients can download images.

I haven't quite finished doing what I want to do with my new Clickbooq website yet, but you can check it out at http://www.ireneabdouphotography.com. (Would appreciate any feedback anyone has on the new site too. I still plan to add an "about me" page, fix up some captions, add another portfolio, and add an image archive page that links to a bunch of lightboxes where I can show many more images.)

Hope this helps!

I use Qufoto and it basically does everything Livebooks does but for a heck of a lot cheaper. I highly recommend it.

I was leaning towards livebooks, but seeings, I already had 5 years of web hosting paid up front, a buddy of mine recommended Word Press. We looked into it and it's kinda fun. Super, super easy to update stuff any time I want. It's a little different to my previous site and really stiil quite the work in progress. I'm chipping away at it. The good thing though about these wordpress sites is that there are so many plug-ins available as well, so your site can be whatever you want it to be and at your own pace. I dig it. That's my 2c

Sean

P.S. and I'm not paying any hosting fees other than my standard website hosting fees.

I have had a LiveBooks site since they started in business. Totally reliable, great customer support. You can change all of the images yourself, the back end admin area is tremendous. Change your pages, modify, add multimedia and there is FTP access as well as client only access if you want it. LiveBooks is the standard that the others try to emulate.

I recently went with aphotofolio.com and am very happy. They also added video to the package. Administration is very easy on the backend. As many custom pages as you want and it also includes Google Apps for email, calendar etc.
The coolest things are the fact that the sites work in iPhones and also the full screen view.

Hi!

Follow-up to my previous post about using clickbooq for my new website - my website and my work have been profiled in the June 2009 issue of Shutterbug Magazine (on newstands now)! Check it out - page 72! It'll go onto the Shutterbug website next week...
