I was never working like this before, always prefer to sell license to clients, but this time it was very interesting project and I agreed to "work for hire". Meaning all the rights and even copyright is own by a client.
Honestly, I do not like to give up all rights, and I hate to give up my copyright. I would probably never will do it again.
Wondering, how often photo buyers asking to transfer copyright? In my case they will be using images for a new trademark, somewhere in a logo, or sort of.. This is (my guess) why they like to own a copyright: to protect trademark form me in a future:-)
Would be glad to hear photographer's experience with such full buyout, and especially photo buyers comments: how often do you guys ask for copyright to be transferred?
