Shooter54: That's so you can be listed in that new "Compass" feature that lets people locate each other by area. Or something.
Incidentally, I don't know how much more of this new and improved forum I can stand. I wasn't logged in when I hit "Reply," so it popped up a login window. When I logged in, it didn't take me to the Reply screen, or even to the thread. It took me BACK TO THE FRONT PAGE. IN THE LOGIN WINDOW.
What kind of cheap crack was the designer of this thing even ON?

Hey Marc, ... so are you that freak that I see often over there on the Photoshelter forum? What's up buddy! (Michael Brown here!)
As far as the telephone number goes, ... they now have my area code and nothing but zeros after that. There is absolutely no good reason to require a telephone number in order to participate in a public forum, ... unless they have certain plans for that telephone number!
I rarely posted in the past within the PDN forums, ... mostly reading on this end and enjoyed the visits. Now, ..... it is a pure PITA just to get into the forums!!

Kind of hard to believe this so called modern forum software apparently can't accept a custom Avatar! Do I have to select notifications from this window each time? I set instant notifications in my preferences. yet in the posting window, it always appears off.

Craig, I'm seeing it. Maybe we're both crazy! quote: Originally posted by CRAIG_BREWER: Now that's weird, as soon as my post loaded, the picture became visible again to me.

quote: I like the old forum myself. Right now I'm typing in an old Courier font or something in this pop up window, sheese. Where is the old Compuserve BB's when you want them?
I bought TapCIS to use with Compuserve, state of the art DOS app in 1988! Saved me a lot of money and made their forums an incredible resource. Those were not the good old days though, and neither are these. This is more AOL, circa 1992. All we need are "artwork loading" messages to complete the experience. See y'all on the other side! I'll stop posting in a couple of days, or when my "cancel everything" email is processed, whichever comes first.

Kevin,
Hate to see you leave, but I understand the frustration. You are not alone. Some have already left and many others are thinking about leaving.
Remember people, we are the show. If everyone walks, there is no show.
