usb extenders

i heard there were 30' usb2 cables now but i cannot find one. does anybody know where i can get one.

if not, can anyone recomend a brand for a usb extender so i can extend a usb cable.

i want to shoot tethered from y 5d mark2 to my macbook.

any suggestions would be appreciated

You can get a 16' (and way longer)cable by looking for an "active" USB cable. Try online, but I got a 16' active cable to use with a GPS antenna for my laptop. Uses power from the computer to run a built in amplifier, negating power loss from resistance. No too expensive. Look online. Upper limit is about 60' (but possibly less).Cliff Moore
