i was thinking about getting this as my second computer but i was not sure if one could calibrate the monitor very well. i heard it was an nec monitor on the 24 inch imad. if anybody can confirm it can be calibrated, it would most be appreciated
Problematic due to the fact they are so damn bright and one has great difficulty lowering the luminance. Its also not such a great display for the money and no, its not an NEC.
Been thinking of one of this days upgrading my old G4 with one of this iMac's but this monitor deal worries me, can you connect a "better" monitor, like an Eizo for the actual corrections and retouching, and just use the built in monitor for tools and doing the workflow part?
i was talking to the digital techs at digital fusion and they are using the 24 imacs for their jobs on location for the shoots. they say the monitor is fine and off course they calibrate the monitor. a few of my friends told me the 24 inch are nec monitors and some say they are LG. who knows but if digital fusion is happy with them then i think i can be happy with it too. and yes you can add a second monitor to it.
