When you work with inanimate objects, try to keep your light directed straight at the object instead of to the side... Yeah, that sounds smart!

Absolutely! If you work with such objects, just keep your camera straight and level...

When working with inanimate objects, do not use any camera! The object's inanimate! It's not gonna go anywhere! Come on, people, save the nature! Stop using indisposable cameras, which hurt mother-nature!!! Be green as this wonderful background!!!
