Couldn't help but notice the announcement...

"ATTENTION PDN FORUM MEMBERS

Please be advised that PDN is upgrading the forums and moving them to a new a new system. All posts, comments and content on the current forums will be archived on the new system.

However, users will need to create new accounts; when the new site is ready, please create a new profile using your user name and password. We apologize for the inconvenience."

There was another forum I participated in that posted a similar notice and never came back but their main site still continued. I think it was their polite way of telling everyone to get lost.

That's good that you like that because it may be about to get even lower. The first time they revamped this forum, I went back to zero, losing about 1000 posts.

yeah, I'll miss my "under 1000" member number, started in 2001. I guess now I'll have an "under 1000" member number started in 2008...

And I think a lot of us photogs notice stuff like that because we have ocd tendencies. I know it shows up in my images, too.

Hey, I have an idea...

Let's all renew under different names and see if we can pick each other out from just what we write...? Many of the shlubs here have such a distinct personality that it has to be an easy game.

and you thought there are no ghosts... Just for kicks, I should of posted with member number in negatives =)

Gents, please rest assured, the forum will remain a part of PDN. The move is due to the synchronization of the community part of the site. Now you will possess a single sign-on for all parts of PDN, thus upgrade of the forum software.

All posts will be backed up and available in Archive folders. Just hang on a few days while we get everything straight.

Doug, I had over 2000+ posts before this version of the site. PDN had a glitch, my post count zeroed out and I had to start over again with a new member number. Hopefully the majority of what I've posted since the forums began has been meaningful.

John, you are going to need to post more often on the new system to get your top (most) posting record again.
