Of those of you who use these, which ones do you use. Are any particularly geared toward photographers? I am looking at Emma but would like to hear your recommendations. Do design your own? Also do they provid email list or are you just using your own?

Thanks?

thats very similar to the emailer i had with Adbase.
the way it sets up and the statistics on the back end.
the price looks very much the same as well,
they had a quarterly set up number of emails for about the same price...

i let my Adbase expire so i am looking for all the options as well..
database and emailer.

I second the motion on Campaign Monitor. I have an e-mailing list of about 300, and the cost of mailing to them is under $10 a month.

Hope this helps!

I use Max BulkMailer that I bought for 40.00 (I think) and every time I do a mailing it cost me "ZERO". It doesn't have the reporting features that the services have, but besides the entertainment value, I don't miss much.

Honestly... How many of you actually USE the reporting features. Not look at, but USE?

Ta-ta...

Good timing on this topic.

I just realized that you cannot use Adbases E-mailer with your private contacts list on their database. So if you have private contacts and want to send the same HTML that you used for a larger Adbase list but to your own list then you have to do it through your own mailing program.

My web guy is setting up something for me today, I'll post it up in a few days to let you know how it works.

I use Vertical Response...you buy 1000 credits for $15 and then send out emails as you like. And they have templates you can customize etc. I just started using them a month or so ago but so far I've been really happy with them- and they give a lot of info on who opened, clicked, what domain names...etc...

Campaign Monitor reporting- It let's me know who opened & how many times they opened it, unsubscribed, open rate , which links people hit, bouces & what kind of bounce.

So if you use the data it can be insightful. It also sends text version for people that don't want HTML version which is alot. Not monthly fees, pay as you go.

they have the same kind of clause in there contract as well. I wonder how many contacts you can import before you set off alarms at these places. Currently I have around 1500 I'd like to upload.

I wasn't referring to the terms, but just them in general. Why do they place the limit on email lists anyway? I would think that the more the merrier for them, no?

I think they don't want people importing lists that they buy in order to deter spammers.
