I been making a living in photography for over 2 decades, set up my studio in Puerto Rico after first getting my feet wet in Miami, New York and LA where I work for others.
The industry as a whole is dead here, it was mortally wounded about 4 yeas ago and it's clear it is not going to make it, lucky me this happens as I am reaching the local top of the food chain!
I been thinking seriously about relocating to Miami. One of my best friends shoots there, this since the early eighties, he gets enough work to take good care of his wife and 3 kids.
I can't really get the feedback I need from him as he shoots food, mostly for direct clients and I been exclusivelly shooting mostly lifestyles & fashion + some still lifes for local ad agencies.
So anyone knows about the industry there, regarding to my background, ideally in both the Hispanic and US markets?
While I'm not in the market, it's a big city which means lot's of clients. You being a lifestyle shooter & Miami a destination city that out of town clients would want to "visit" I would suggest marketing heavy in other markets as well. Since allot of fashion & many catalogs are shot there, the town also has good production services. I've always loved shooting there. BTW- your site does nothing after the opening page.

You have to click on normal or full screen by the bottom on the cover page, just in front of "miranda" then click on tearsheets or bodies. To see the images you MUST CLICK on the little squares, idea, bad one, was that you had to "pass" the pages as if you where looking at a magazine, I know, I know I got to upgrade the site...
