Any ideas on how to get the media rate for luggage when flying? Airline attendants claim not to know anything about it. I can't find much online, either.
I was flying just a few days ago and got nailed with $250 in extra bag fees. I'm flying again next week. Help greatly appreciated.

Some airlines have such a thing, some don't. American Airlines used to do $50/bag for excess bags for film/media/production crews, but they've recently changed all of their baggage prices, even for regular items. They may have done away with that altogether. Most airlines are popping you for extras any way they can. Be sure to quote for this possibility on any estimate.
