ART-KON-TOR GmbH Hainstrae 1 07745 Jena< basically, they want to know about MF-cams and they way they' re used, desired; my guess is that behind Art-Kon-Tor stays the name of Jen-optik, who works - and owns - Sinar.
So there might be a new sinar/Jenoptik MF-Cam, and back - in the pipeline.

Guten Tag montespluga, I had heard Sinar expressed interest in the Contax 645 platform not long after Kyocera dropped it. Of course, there is the Sinar M system already, though I think a Contax 645 solution would be more ergonomic (Sinar M is huge).

Gordon, good morning
it's actually a fact, that Jenoptik did buy Sinar, a few monthes ago. Sinar had been spending way to much money in developing again and again their own dig-backs; to much of a effort for a family-based enterprise. To me it looks like Sinar had have very good time in the mecanical age; developement of the sinars camera's until the P, but didn't had enough knowledge, understanding and ressources to build the backs.
Don't forget that Sinar had the nose pretty high up - if a photographer didn't buy each year a new back. Even last year they statet sort of: You're not going to be a real photographer, unless you've one of these sinarbacks.
bkphoto: yep, that's definitly a way to go too, personally I' m pretty saddiesfied with my zuikos, which are way better than the canon wides.
I'd think that the combination of lens+ cam+ RawConverter make the images look brilliant.

Yeah, I had an Olypus OM1, way, way back in the day and the 21mm lens that I had with it was just amazing. Same with the Pentax M series 20mm. Another absolute gem of a wide angle. what's up with Canon? It amazes me that a company that holds so much of the worlds pro market can't produce acceptable quality wide angle len's. Yep, we are all calling you out Canon. "Tsup!" Sean www.seandavey.com

I haven't asked her. I don't think I'd get an interesting answer. Amy is paid to make those guys look good, so I doubt that she'd want to discuss it...... But hey, if you want me to, I'll ask........ Sean www.seandavey.com

Yep, Sean, the 21 is one of my beauties; I had to test two of them to find a good one, though. Another stellar lens is the 28/2.0. Its quality is equal to the canon 50 macro; even in the corner.
