quote: I use Epson MK/7600
My dealer and many others told me not to bother to upgrade from the 7600 to the 7800 or 7880 for MK prints. They are correct. The K3 and K3 Vivid Photo Black is much better than the K2. There really is not much difference when using Matte Black. Matte Black printing is a great use for a 7600. The K2 inks can be had for less than Cone prices also if you look around a bit.

In testing the Ilford Gold Fibre Silk 13x19 on my 2200, I discovered that it is better to use the rear paper feed slot than the regular paper feed. The transport rollers left some grab marks when fed through the regular paper path. Probably has to do with the angle of feed. Since it's recommended that one sheet at a time be used, better to use the slot.
The Ilford paper is very nice. I am awaiting my rolls to test on the 7600. These Baryta papers may be the Holy Grail for the work I do. Thanks for the input. I'm looking now for a used 7800!

"Honey, this will look great in the living room!"
Luckily for her space forbids me from getting something bigger as we would have to add on to the house to fit in anywhere.
