The Sinar Handy, and that short Linhof, were two of the cameras I viewed to get ideas. The current idea needs to scale into a couple different formats: 4x5, 6x12 (maybe 6x17), then 6x9 and roughly 6x4.5 (near MFDB). So the prototype is actually a 4x5 with rangefinder focus, and four way front standard (tilt/swing/shift/rise). Once I go to CAD, then it is easier to move things to scale differently . . . or at least that is what the 3D guy is telling me.

I tend to shoot most work on 4x5, which makes scaling to other printing needs fairly easy. It only takes a couple times of a client at first asking for small (CD cover only), and then coming back for more (display poster) to realize that using the biggest capture initially can really be a great idea.

Anyway, with camera design, the toughest part I think is the lenses, but the solution is adapting existing lenses. What started out as wanting hand held 4x5 with movements has become something more, though realistically I would be happy with all this if I only sold a dozen.

Yep John,

you couldn't have its abilities - shift, Super angulons, etc for less weight! And it all fit in a tiny box, including the 65, 75, 90, 120. ,

But, I don't know what to do with it.
BTW: I even have the grip and viewer, to shoot 4/5' handheld
