Anyone out there using one of these on a digital camera? I'm using a Nikon D2x, b.t.w.
I've been thinking of getting one, just for the heck of it. Have a bit of fun doing crazy stuff and maybe get the creative juices flowing again....

Yes, I have one and it works great.

Focus can be a challenge to find, but when you nail it things look excellent.

I got a few good shots out of it but it has been sitting there for over a year without being used. Nice and cheap stuff, it has to be tried out.

Oh, and BTW, get the wideangle adapter if you can.

It is very useful.

I have a LB 1.0 and it's lots of fun. I found out that my camera's diopter adjustment was way off when I started using it. Smiler

(I almost always use autofocus: the few times I tried not using it I got bad results which I blamed on poor eyesight.)

yeah, I JUST used mine this last week to turn in a few alternate versions of a cover portrait for a pub I shoot for. I forget if they used the normal 50mm shot or the lens baby shot, but now you've got my interest peeked.

Honestly, I don't use it much, but for the price, it is a fun little bonus lens to have on hand. I use it on my canon 5d. I don't think it is as cool as using a pinhole lens, but it is still fun at times...

I have been wanting to try a lensbaby, too. If anybody has one with a Nikon mount sitting around that they would like to part with, please let me know!

So I went ahead and got the 3G. So far without any accessories.
The 3G was the only one I could get here, don't know if it's any better or worse than the 2.0.
It looks funky, though....
But it seems to be meant to be used on a tripod, so I'm off to the studio to try it out under more controlled conditions.

And Bill: Get your own! We ain't sharing... Razzer

I just looked at my cover and they ran my lens baby shot instead of my regular shot. Score one for cheap lenses!!!

I have bought them all... the 3g just last month.
For handheld, I found the ver 2.0 more easy to work. Though as stated above the 3g will probably rock on a tripod.

Ian,

"I have bought them all..."

So you bought them all!
No wonder Bill can't find any and has to beg us for a secondhand one... Big Grin

what I mean is I manage to justify to myself the purchase of each of the Lensbabies. I shudder to think what they will come with next, I'll probably buy it.

You Canadians are so serious....
I was just kidding!

Which one do you like best?

Still haven't had the time to try out mine.
Every time I want to do something for myself, some client calls with an urgent project.
Which -in a way - is a good thing.

We Canadians enjoy clarity and apologize when we aren't clear on what we mean :-)

I think I like lensbaby 2.0,.. easy to grab and use, 3g is a little harder to hand hold.
