I work as both a photographer and as a video producer/director, so my site offers both. I would like to hear your responses to the site and my work. Thanks! Rob Lindsay www.roblindsaypictures.com

some of the images seem to suffer from jpg jaggies, probably from the compression for web. I'm not crazy about such a text heavy intro page you should wow us with an image. Also on your about me page I'm not a fan of the right justified text esp for the first line when just the word web sits on the second line. Love the pool hall photo but it has some bad jaggies.
Hi Rob- I'll take a crack at some constructive criticism. The site seems disjointed to me. When I click on "still photography" I am taken to a completely different looking site with different navigation, different logos etc., and I can't find a link to go back to the homepage. Also, regarding your logo, I don't understand why the "a" is red. That doesn't work for me. Your type also needs some cleaning up. For example, in the ""about me/contact" section, your type needs some different constraints / design. Also, the name of this section changes after I click on it. In summary, I feel the design does not enhance the work or your brand.

Thanks for your comments, James. yes, the sit e seems disjointed to me, too. It's because I use it to show two kinds of work I do -- video and stills, and I don't know how else to do it, unless I were to have two sites. I'm using Evrium for the stills, and I could upgrade that to set up a new site w/ home page, etc, if I thought it would work better for me. I just don't know!
Re: the red "a" in my logo: given ANY kind of chance, people will misspell my last name, putting a "e" where there is an "a". I want the a to stand out, and maybe they'll remember. i also have "RobLindseyPictures.com as a pointer site in case all else fails.
You are right about the "About Me" text layout _i'll change that. Time to add a few Press Releases anyway!
Thanks again Rob

I agree about too much type. Also using the same images in more than one category is not a good idea at all. I think you would be better off eliminating the number of categories and by combining some. You do not really need places and architecture... they are basically the same. Also I would not really call those "beauty" shots, in a commercial sense. To me, "beauty" is a high fashion, cosmetic ad, term...

I agree. You're bombarded with so much info on that first page. There's too much tension with being pulled to too many areas. The design looks dated and/or homemade too.

Hi Rob i'll just add a little, your brand should follow the whole site. the type should match and be consistant throughout. 1st page...whew my eyeballs are killing me. it should be about the images. still and motion alike. everything else is fluff. cuechick was spot on about the categories. dont repeat. best regards scott www.scottshepardphotography.com
