I wish there a more clear way to nav from "pursuit" to " outsiders" from the main page. I now realize it's on all pages put it's confusing. The video loading before imges on outsiders seems wierd. Just my opinion.

so you and your friends get drunk and stupid and you have a point and shoot? This might have been exciting and shocking 30 years ago but I see way to much of this stuff these days.

I'm just saying if you want to push it push it. Those guys look just like the punks we where 20 years ago. Shocking people is easy, having to something powerful to say is hard. I saw a great quote buy chuck close recently that photography is the easiest medium to master but the hardest to make work which is instantly recognizable as your own. You put your work up for review, and I found it old fashion looking instead of taking offense you should look at your work a new and try to figure out a way to make something new with your images rather than rehashing something retro looking. As far as my work goes eventually you get a mortgage and responsabilties outside of yourself thats when you have to make a living that supports more people than you, my work reflects that. When I was young all I shot was bands and performance artists eventually you tire of being broke, I still do my own conceptual projects which I show widely in galleries but it's not part of my business.

Doug, I'm glad that you where a punk 20 years ago. I just don't see the big difference in terms of originality or "pushing it" in me documenting traveling with a punk band and you taking photos of a theater dance group. Is it because punks are outdated and theater is current?

Alan, thanks for your constructive cirticism. I actually started to redo the layout to make it more clear.

Oh, and I updated the pursuit of happiness section on my site today: don't worry all the photos are boring.

Maxim you sure don't take to kindly to crits do you, it's going to make this a tough biz for you. I'm not saying that following around punk bands is a bad thing to do. What I'm trying to point out to you is that you need a more unique view point in your photos. I just don't see a personal vision. It looks like point and shoot flash on camera ala terry richards or any myspace page. When I say push it, it isn't so much your subject as your vision and what your trying to show us.

I didn't see anything interesting -

except for the kennel club winner's photo and the fat guy.
The image quality is lacking a little bit for professional work.
Maybe get out the holga if you want to step it up?
